Enter our ‘Keep Me Safe’ competition and win £1,000 for your school

Calling all primary school children! CORGI HomePlan is inviting you to enter an exciting competition for a chance to win £1,000 for your school.

At CORGI HomePlan we pride ourselves in keeping homes across the UK safe and warm. This summer (2017) we are encouraging school children to get involved and learn about dangers in the home.

We’ve teamed up with celebrated children’s illustrator Nick East and together, we would like to invite children aged between seven and 11 to create a safety poster highlighting dangers in the home and how to avoid them. These could be anything from cookers and fires to boilers and electrical appliances.

We’ve created a template that you can download here

Here’s how it works:

  • The competition is split into two categories: 7-9 years and 10-11 years
  • Submit your children’s entries by post or email along with completed consent form
  • One winner from each age category will earn their school £1,000 each to spend on educational materials
  • Both category winners will have their designs printed as a full sized poster that will be handed out by our UK-wide network of engineers to help homes stay safe
  • One runner up from each age category will receive £250 for for their school to spend on educational materials
  • All winners and runners up will also receive a £50 goody bag for their efforts

The entries will be judged by Nick East, who has most recently worked with astronaut Tim Peake on his book ‘Goodnight Spaceman.’

The Keep Me Safe competition will run through summer term and the summer holidays, closing in October. So children have plenty of time to get involved, either at school or during their long break.

Deadline for entries: 5pm – Thursday 5th October 2017

If you like the sound of our competition why not tell your teachers and get the whole class to enter. Entries will be accepted until the 5th October by post or email.
